"Premium Silkworm Pupae" is a highly fresh dried chrysalis.
High-quality pupae are said to be the ideal natural feed for growing large, beautiful carp. Professional carp breeders in Niigata have used pupae to raise many famous carp.
Due to the antibacterial effect of silk, the pupae retain their original shape and do not rot even after ten years, making it difficult to tell how fresh the contents are. The way to tell if a pupae is fresh is by its smell. Fresh pupae do not have any unpleasant odor that irritates the nose.
Since its founding in the Meiji era, Kawaguchi Shoten has been a long-established silk trading company that has engaged in the silk reeling industry as well as the buying and selling of cocoons, raw silk, and silk waste.
We only use pupae, a by-product of cocoons, sourced from reliable silk mills, knowing when and where the cocoons were produced, as well as the manufacturer and amount used. The purchased pupae are thoroughly dried and stored in a low-temperature warehouse. By only keeping small amounts in stock, we can prevent loss of freshness and always provide fresh pupae.
●How to feed
Feed when the water temperature is above 20°C.
Treat it like a snack for your Nishikigoi and adjust the amount you give it while observing their condition.
Soaking food in warm water for 1-2 hours to soften it will make it easier to digest and prevent overeating.
