Bacto Power is a high-density blend of carefully selected bacteria that stabilize water quality and enhance biofiltration efficiency. It not only improves pond clarity but also prevents fish diseases, making it ideal for koi and ornamental fish care.
Bacteria Composition
- Anaerobic bacteria: Perform denitrification in oxygen-free environments
- Facultative anaerobic bacteria: Carry out denitrification with or without oxygen

Normal organic decomposition process:
Proteins → Amino acids → Ammonia → Nitrite → Nitrate
With Bacto Power, facultative anaerobes can:
- Convert nitrite directly into nitrogen gas
- Reduce nitrate into nitrogen gas
This process helps suppress algae growth and maintain clear, healthy water. Laboratory tests confirmed that ammonia and nitrite decreased within one week of use.
Directions for Use
Initial Application
- Apply 1 packet of the separately sold bio sponge per 1 ton (1,000 L / 264 gal) of water.
- Afterward, sprinkle 10 g per ton onto the bio sponge.
Regular Application
- Reapply the same amount 1–2 weeks after the initial dose.
- Continue with 5 g per ton once every month.
Filter Management
- Use 1 packet per ton for bio sponges.
- Ensure aeration in the filter tank to support bacterial activity.
Maintenance
- If bio sponge becomes dirty, rinse lightly in pond water.
- Do not wash with tap water, as chlorine will kill beneficial bacteria.
