Bio Sponge – Filter Media Supporting the Ultimate Filtration System
The Bio Sponge is a specially developed sponge designed to efficiently form a biofilm, which is essential for beneficial bacteria to thrive.
The biggest difference compared to conventional filter mats or brushes lies in its superior biofilm formation capacity. Since bacteria can only settle within a biofilm, the ability to generate this film directly determines the filtration performance.
Usage (Ideal Combination)
- Place the Bio Sponge in the final chamber of the existing filtration tank. (Standard guideline: 1 piece per 1 ton [1,000 L / 264 gal] of water)
- Additionally, sprinkle Bacto Power at a rate of 10 g per 1 ton [1,000 L / 264 gal] of water directly onto the Bio Sponge.
